In Good Company is guaranteed to be a day of practical education and
access to resources for Colorado women business owners! The conference
will address issues important to both experienced and new women business
owners, in all industries and in all types of businesses.
The conference will kick off with continental breakfast and an exciting
panel presentation featuring five successful Colorado women business owners
from across the state. Each will share personal stories of business successes
and disappointments. Click here for more information
on the breakfast panel. Our sit-down luncheon will feature Maria de Lourdes
Sobrino, President and CEO of Lulu’s Dessert factory and Fancy Fruit
Company. A successful Hispanic female entrepreneur, Ms. Sobrino will speak
about her own business challenges and triumphs in a special keynote
presentation
Four blocks of breakout workshops will offer conference attendees several
opportunities to hear from the best—speakers, authors, and resource
providers who will conduct hour-long workshops in topic such as:
• Business Strategy and Planning • Leadership
and Management • Marketing, Sales and Public Relations • Business
Financing • Procurement • Insurance and Legal Issues •
International Business • Human Resources Management •

schedule and information on each of our expert
presenters. Throughout the day, conference attendees will have
access to a Resource Fair, featuring companies, organizations and
agencies that provide services and support to women business owners.
Morning and afternoon networking breaks will allow plenty of time
for attendees to meet and exchanges ideas with other Colorado women
business owners, as well as with conference speakers, partners and
exhibitors. The Closing Reception will include opportunities to
meet with state and local political representatives over appetizers.
A highlight of this year’s In Good Company conference
will be “Matchmaker Madness,” a unique
program that brings women business owners face-to-face with corporate
buyers to facilitate buyer-supplier relationships. The Matchmaker
event will be presented by WBEC-West, the regional partner of the
Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). The
goal of the activity is to establish connections between qualified
women business owners and buyers from corporations and government
agencies seeking diverse suppliers through a series of one-on-one
meetings. Click here for more information.
Individual business counseling by SBA SCORE counselors will also be available
to conference attendees. SCORE’s team of dedicated advisors is made
up of working and retired executives and successful small business owners.
These advisors will offer expert advice in one-on-one counseling sessions
to interested women business owners at the conference. Click here to learn
more about SCORE counseling.
